The balanced programme offer of JOJ TV has not forgotten about film fans and is traditionally rich in blockbusters. Even in 2025 there will be no shortage of the latest and best blockbusters, including those from leading film studios such as Universal or Disney. When making our selections, we are thinking first and foremost of the universal family viewer, whom we primarily target.
Families with children, as well as eternal children, can look forward to animated films such as Luca, Baby Boss: Family Business, Sing 2, Spirit Untamed, Bad Guys, Minions 2: The Rise of Gru or Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.
More demanding adult viewers will also find something to their tastes. We will bring another sequel to the Poirot detective stories Haunting in Venice, the drama Black Beauty and the true story Thirteen Lives. Especially women will enjoy the star-studded romantic comedies Marry Me with Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson and Ticket to Paradise with Julia Roberts and George Clooney.
The JOJ premiere line-up will also include more action-packed titles such as the thrilling action drama The Plane with Gerard Butler, the Marvel film Thor: Love and Thunder with Chris Hemsworth, the adventure thriller The Beast, the action thriller Ambulance, historical action-adventure film The Three Musketeers: D’Artagnan and the action-adventure sci-fi film Jurassic World: Dominion.
Series enthusiasts can look forward to acquisition news as well, including the action drama Tracker, the Canadian drama series Return to Sullivan’s Crossing, the Spanish musical-drama series Our Only Chance, the Czech comedy drama Sense of Tumour, the family series Week-end Family, and the animated children’s series Spidey and his Amazing Friends.

24 podcast is an important part of the program structure of the JOJ 24 news television and the noviny.sk portal. Our podcasts are not traditional audio formats, but video-podcasts with the added visual value. TV JOJ and JOJ 24 news editors create them in studios with a camera. They reach not only regular podcast listeners via audio platforms, but also TV viewers and online users. They focus on current political, economic, cultural and social topics that move our society.
JOJ podcasts are continuously expanding their thematic areas. Among the most successful ones are for example Sme v kaviarni – political satire in the form of comments by Arpád Soltész and Peter Tkačenko, JOJ Zdravie with journalist Marcela Fuknová, JOJ History with documentary filmmaker Veronika Homolová Tóthová, Na hrane TV JOJ, as well as OK podcast with musician Ondrej Kandráč, or LeKár a IMunita with moderator Iveta Malachovská and gastroenterologist Ladislav Kužel. The Na nervy podcast is created in cooperation with IPečko, and we also have a sports podcast Prvá liga.
In 2024, new features such as travel, economics or sports podcasts will be gradually added to the current offer. Once again, the audience has something to look forward to.

Eleven-year-old WAU is a universal television station, which Slovak viewers know as the home of foreign crime and detective series, as well as series from the medical or paramedical environment.
Its programme includes still extremely popular titles such as Castle, Criminal Minds, The Rookie, CSI: Las Vegas, Miami and New York, as well as other popular acquisition series such as Dr. House, Numb3rs or Ghost Whisperer. Viewers who enjoy mysterious and thrilling crime cases will also find such classic evergreens as Columbo; Murder, She Wrote; Diagnosis: Murder; Walker, Texas Ranger; and Midsomer Murders on its screens.

The news station JOJ 24 became part of the JOJ Group in 2022 as the eighth Slovak and overall the fourteenth television station in the portfolio of the largest media group in Slovakia. The full-format news TV station provides a continuous flow of information and its content is accessible to the whole Slovakia. JOJ 24 has the ambition to be the main source of reliable, verified and up-to-date information, broadcasting 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The station is known for offering the most live broadcasts on the market, focusing on news as well as on journalism, lifestyle magazines, documentaries and podcasts. JOJ TV’s evening news block, broadcasted in prime time, is simultaneously broadcasted on JOJ 24, giving viewers the opportunity to watch breaking news in real time.

Documentary television, which celebrated its first anniversary in the summer of 2024, brings an all-day broadcast of diverse and inspiring documentaries from around the world, primarily in Slovak. It is a rich selection of original Slovak and international documentaries from renowned national and international filmmakers. It covers all documentary genres and the programme is tailored to a wide range of audiences from diverse target groups.
Among the station’s programme highlights in the coming seasons will be acquisition titles such as Spy Ops, Modern Warfare 2.0 or Inside the Criminal Mind. The station will also offer authentic stories, as for instance the docu-series Kindness Diaries.
The specificity of JOJ World television is the original production. In 2025, we will launch several domestic and co-produced documentary films and series of different genres, such as the Hitler’s Secret Missions project or the Alien Files: Reopened series. Moreover, we support aspiring documentary filmmakers and students – for example, we will present the best of the documentary production by the directors of the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica.
JOJka has for many years been involved in the creation of documentary series by our award-winning editor Veronika Homolová Tóthová. In 2025, we will premiere her new feature documentary about the only official photographer of Slovak National Uprising, Ivan Anton Székely.
Documentary oriented thematic station (so called factual entertainment) will be available to Slovak households – subscribers of particular satellite, cable, IPTV and OTT operators.

Film TV station JOJ Cinema started its broadcasting in 2015 as the first Czecho-Slovak station with which JOJ Group entered the Czech market. Since then, it has been supplying audiences in both countries with the latest blockbusters and exclusive premieres of the best films of all genres. In its daily broadcasts it offers a varied programme for everyone – romantic comedies and dramas for women, action films, thrillers, horror and science fiction (not only) for men, as well as animated fairy tales and family films for the whole family.
In 2025, premiere highlights of its rich offer will be, for example, high-quality period titles with a star-studded cast. Among others, the biographical war drama Lee: The Frontline Photographer starring Kate Winslet, the comedy drama Air: The Birth of a Legend starring Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Jason Bateman and Viola Davis, the French romantic film The Taste of Things starring Julliett Binoche and the biographical film Race for Glory about the rivalry between car giants Audi and Lancia during the racing era of the 1980s.
A star-cast will also appear in the comedy novel Fabulous Four, starring Susan Sarandon, Megan Mullally, Bette Midler and Sheryl Lee Ralph.
JOJ Cinema will not disappoint fans of action films and thrillers. They can look forward to the action sci-fi thriller Survive, the horror thriller Never Let Go with Halle Berry, action thriller Red Right Hand with Orlando Bloom or dystopian film Civil War.
For the little ones, JOJ Cinema has prepared, among many other children’s films, animated cartoons such as Sylvanian Families: Freya’s Gift and Little Emma.

CS Film stays true to its unique position in the field of broadcasting classic Czech and Slovak films, which it brings to viewers without commercial interruptions. It broadcasts up to seven feature films a day.
CS Film’s programme follows the tradition of showing films from the golden fund of Czech and Slovak cinematography, with up to 90 % of the titles dating back to before 1989. The station also regularly enriches its offer with Czech television films from the 1960s to the 1980s and other titles that were not frequently broadcast after 1989.
In 2025, CS Film will bring classic films such as Angel in the Mountains, Black Barons, The Good Soldier Švejk, The King of Šumava, The Death of the Beautiful Deer and many more. Newer favourites will include hits such as Dědictví aneb Kurvahošigutentág, Báječná léta pod psa, I Served the King of England or Snowboarders.
The additional morning block before 10:15 is always dedicated to the youngest viewers, where nurturing, educational and musical programmes from JOJ production alternate with cult Czech animated series. Our “mystery station” is also systematically building its position as a strong player in the field of documentaries and thematically focus on mysteries, secrets, paranormal or crime.
Mystery broadcasts a 24-hour full-length documentary program, composed of acquisitions, as well as of its own attractive productions – it offers, for instance, the successful series Krvavé Česko (Bloody Czechia), Československá NEJ (Czechoslovak BEST), Největší české mýty (The Greatest Czech Myths) or Neznámé památky (Unknown Sights).
In its programm structure, viewers will find quality documentary titles from established and globally known distribution companies, such as Cineflix, Parade Media or Abacus Media.

n 2025, CS History continues its successful transformation into a station with an expanded historical focus, offering a full day’s programme packed with fascinating documentaries. It already delivers a rich range of historical topics, both through original productions and new acquisitions.
Among the announced premieres, the series The Story of St. Wenceslas, for example, offers a new perspective on one of the greatest personalities of Czech history. Other programmes such as Hitler’s Last Hours, Shark Terror: the USS Indianapolis, The Great Wall of China and Castro’s Spies will present attractive historical and military themes. World War II fans will appreciate titles such as Hitler’s Superweapon and Secret Nazi Expeditions.
Original works are an important part of the programme – the series Question Marks of Czech History reveals unsolved mysteries of Czech history, and the documentary The Story of the Fall of the Roman Empire provides fascinating insights into two key crises that shattered the Roman Empire.
Other interesting titles include World Megastructures, which introduces viewers to the world’s most amazing buildings, from Stonehenge to the Eiffel Tower. The Hitler’s Secret Operations series will uncover little-known stories of Nazi secret missions and Let’s Rewrite History! will change the way we look at some of the world’s major disasters, like the sinking of the Titanic.

CS Horror will keep airing dark and scary stories for seasons to come, every day from midnight to 6am, uninterrupted by commercials. Each night it offers three horror or thriller films, complemented by themed series. Our programme offer is constantly expanding, minimizing the repetition of movies and increasing the quality of our content.
In 2025, the horror station will bring Czech films such as Ghoul, Edge of Breaking Point, Normal and Taxi 121, enriching the viewer experience with local horror and thriller suspense.
Foreign horror and sci-fi will bring an adrenaline rush with films such as Arthur: The Curse, The Perfect Child, Horrible History and the catastrophic sci-fi blockbuster Moonfall. Audiences will be scared while watching thrilling titles such as Hide and Seek, Sanctuary of Evil, Dark Forces and the space adventure Voyagers – Space Mission.
For 2025 CS Horror promises nights of suspense, fear and mystery that audiences will not want to miss.

JOJ Family is a family television that broadcasts for Czech viewers and for Slovaks living in the Czech Republic. Since 2016, it has been freely transmitted in the Czech DVB-T and is also available in the offer of Czech satellite, cable and IPTV operators.
In 2025, JOJ Family will again include the biggest domestic blockbusters in its offer and viewers will see (especially during the holidays) such hits as The Girl on the Broom, Three Veterans, The Good Soldier Švejk, I’m Reporting Obediently, Holiday with Angel, Angel in the Mountains, Where the Devil Can’t Go, The Octopus from the Second Floor or Merry Christmas From Octopuses exclusively on JOJ Family.
In the next season, the station will also offer the still extremely popular and watched, legendary Czech crime dramas Death of Hitchhikers, Black Stocking, Time Works for a Murderer, Gas Jockeys from the Golden Horseshoe, Night of the Pianist and others. Classic comedies such as Christening, Half a House Without a Groom and Father-in-law will not be missed.
For the very first time, JOJ Family will also present on its screens the legendary series of short stories Bachelors, which was a success in the 70s and 80s, when it was one of the most popular broadcasts. Our goal is to continuously expand the station’s genre portfolio to offer even more varied, attractive and exclusive content for the audience. In the 2025 season, we will gradually add classic acquisition series, especially German-produced crime dramas, which are still very popular among our neighbours.
Czech viewers can also look forward to the premieres of the latest news from Slovak JOJ TV – Kriminálka Kraj 2, Love in Istanbul or Miša in Košice, as well as the new show Marry Me now! and the live-action docu-reality The End of the Game.

Team of experienced editors regularly delivers exclusive reports within the News Plus sub-portal. A new feature is the news 24 podcast that is part of the portal. It covers a large range of topics such as health, cybernetics, crisis, corruption, climate change, and other interesting topics.
Noviny.sk also collects numerous other interesting and thematically varied sub portals, for instance the showbiz portal Topstar, a new website for men called We are men and the latest findings in the field of medicine together with health topics are brought to viewers by the Health subsection.
