24 podcast is an important part of the program structure of the JOJ 24 news television and the noviny.sk portal. Our podcasts are not traditional audio formats, but video-podcasts with the added visual value. TV JOJ and JOJ 24 news editors create them in studios with a camera. They reach not only regular podcast listeners via audio platforms, but also TV viewers and online users. They focus on current political, economic, cultural and social topics that move our society.
JOJ podcasts are continuously expanding their thematic areas. Among the most successful ones are for example Sme v kaviarni – political satire in the form of comments by Arpád Soltész and Peter Tkačenko, JOJ Zdravie with journalist Marcela Fuknová, JOJ History with documentary filmmaker Veronika Homolová Tóthová, Na hrane TV JOJ, as well as OK podcast with musician Ondrej Kandráč, or LeKár a IMunita with moderator Iveta Malachovská and gastroenterologist Ladislav Kužel. Eleven-year-old WAU is a universal television station, which Slovak viewers know as the home of foreign crime and detective series, as well as series from the medical or paramedical environment.

The news station JOJ 24 became part of the JOJ Group in 2022 as the eighth Slovak and overall the fourteenth television station in the portfolio of the largest media group in Slovakia. The full-format news TV station provides a continuous flow of information and its content is accessible to the whole Slovakia. Documentary television, which celebrated its first anniversary in the summer of 2024, brings an all-day broadcast of diverse and inspiring documentaries from around the world, primarily in Slovak. It is a rich selection of original Slovak and international documentaries from renowned national and international filmmakers. It covers all documentary genres and the programme is tailored to a wide range of audiences from diverse target groups.
Among the station’s programme highlights in the coming seasons will be acquisition titles such as Spy Ops, Modern Warfare 2.0 or Inside the Criminal Mind. The station will also offer authentic stories, as for instance the docu-series Kindness Diaries.
The specificity of JOJ World television is the original production. In 2025, we will launch several domestic and co-produced documentary films and series of different genres, such as the Hitler’s Secret Missions project or the Alien Files: Reopened series. Moreover, we support aspiring documentary filmmakers and students – for example, we will present the best of the documentary production by the directors of the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica.
JOJka has for many years been involved in the creation of documentary series by our award-winning editor Veronika Homolová Tóthová. In 2025, we will premiere her new feature documentary about the only official photographer of Slovak National Uprising, Ivan Anton Székely.

Film TV station JOJ Cinema started its broadcasting in 2015 as the first Czecho-Slovak station with which JOJ Group entered the Czech market. Since then, it has been supplying audiences in both countries with the latest blockbusters and exclusive premieres of the best films of all genres. In its daily broadcasts it offers a varied programme for everyone – romantic comedies and dramas for women, action films, thrillers, horror and science fiction (not only) for men, as well as animated fairy tales and family films for the whole family.
In 2025, premiere highlights of its rich offer will be, for example, high-quality period titles with a star-studded cast. Among others, the biographical war drama Lee: The Frontline Photographer starring Kate Winslet, the comedy drama Air: The Birth of a Legend starring Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Jason Bateman and Viola Davis, the French romantic film The Taste of Things starring Julliett Binoche and the biographical film Race for Glory about the rivalry between car giants Audi and Lancia during the racing era of the 1980s.

CS Film stays true to its unique position in the field of broadcasting classic Czech and Slovak films, which it brings to viewers without commercial interruptions. It broadcasts up to seven feature films a day.
CS Film’s programme follows the tradition of showing films from the golden fund of Czech and Slovak cinematography, with up to 90 % of the titles dating back to before 1989. The station also regularly enriches its offer with Czech television films from the 1960s to the 1980s and other titles that were not frequently broadcast after 1989.
In 2025, CS Film will bring classic films such as Angel in the Mountains, Black Barons, The Good Soldier Švejk, The King of Šumava, The Death of the Beautiful Deer and many more. n 2025, CS History continues its successful transformation into a station with an expanded historical focus, offering a full day’s programme packed with fascinating documentaries. It already delivers a rich range of historical topics, both through original productions and new acquisitions.
Among the announced premieres, the series The Story of St. Wenceslas, for example, offers a new perspective on one of the greatest personalities of Czech history. Other programmes such as Hitler’s Last Hours, Shark Terror: the USS Indianapolis, The Great Wall of China and Castro’s Spies will present attractive historical and military themes. World War II fans will appreciate titles such as Hitler’s Superweapon and Secret Nazi Expeditions.
Original works are an important part of the programme – the series Question Marks of Czech History reveals unsolved mysteries of Czech history, and the documentary The Story of the Fall of the Roman Empire provides fascinating insights into two key crises that shattered the Roman Empire.

CS Horror will keep airing dark and scary stories for seasons to come, every day from midnight to 6am, uninterrupted by commercials. Each night it offers three horror or thriller films, complemented by themed series. In 2025, the horror station will bring Czech films such as Ghoul, Edge of Breaking Point, Normal and Taxi 121, enriching the viewer experience with local horror and thriller suspense.
Foreign horror and sci-fi will bring an adrenaline rush with films such as Arthur: The Curse, The Perfect Child, Horrible History and the catastrophic sci-fi blockbuster Moonfall.
